Sally Beauty, which launched a major effort to ‘go green’ in 2019, is expanding its bonding haircare collection for the third time. The beauty retailer is launching a first-to-market Bonding Blue Shampoo—plus more innovative hair care products formulated with bonding technology.

The Bondbar collection now includes a line of permanent hair color shades with built-in bond repair. There are also new bonding styling products.

The new Bonding Permanent Hair Color range is the first full shade range of permanent color to deliver bonding technology. It strengthens, conditions, repairs hair fibers, and reinforces bonds while providing 100% gray coverage.

The first-ever Bonding Blue Shampoo is formulated to brighten and remove brassiness.

The collection is packaged in classic round bottles (available from suppliers in our Buyer’s Guide) with flip-top dispensing caps & pump sprayers—for a user-friendly design that will compliment any bathroom decor.

Sally Beauty’s Bondbar collection includes:

• Permanent Hair Color—available in 30 natural shades, with built-in bonding technology. Offers up to 53% less breakage compared to a standard color. Also available is Bondbar Crème Developer.


• Bonding Blue Shampoo—the first blue shampoo in the market to include clinically proven bonding technology to help neutralize brassiness after one use. It is formulated to significantly brighten brunette hair while hydrating root to ends.


• Bonding Detangling Spray—Improves wet detangling by up to 97% and nourishes hair while reducing breakage after one use.


• Bonding Leave-In Conditioner—has a lightweight formula that adds volume and moisture, helps tame frizz, and smooths out hair.


• Bonding Curl Cream—a curl cream that nourishes the hair and seals in moisture to help define the shape of curls with added bounce, softness, and shine.
